Sclerotherapy
Vein Treatments in Denver
Sclerotherapy is the treatment of choice for varicose veins and spider
veins. As we age, more visible veins frequently emerge on the legs and
the face. During sclerotherapy, a sclerosing agent is injected into the
vein with a tiny needle. This sclerosing solution irritates the vein,
causing the vein to collapse and fibrous, with eventual reabsorption of
the vessel. This procedure is suprisingly not painful. Most treatments
last one hour, with multiple veins injected. Optimal results take multiple
treatment sessions, with most patients seeing 60% to 80% improvement per
session.
LipoDissolve
LipoDissolve is a non-surgical alternative to small areas of liposuction.
For resistant areas of fat, medicine is injected that breaks down fat
cells. The fat is then reabsorbed by the body and excreted via the biliary
system and kidneys. Inches can be removed with a series of injections
into the subcutaneous tissue. Most patients see results after the second
treatment and can be long lasting if proper diet and excercise are maintained.
Most common areas treated are the back of the thigh, the saddle bags,
abdominal wall, love handles, under chin and jowels.
Microdermabrasion
At La Fontaine we have 2 types of MicroDermabrasion treatments, the Express
MicroDermabrasion is for those 'on-the-go' patients that need to be out
in 3o minutes. The Ultimate MicroDermabrasion is also very popular, combining
the pampering of a full european facial with the results of microdermabrasion.
The Ultimate MicroDermabrasion includes a light massage and extractions
and lasts upto 60 minutes.
IPL Photofacials
The Photofacial is a treatment with intense pulsed light that improves
the appearance of sun damaged skin, age spots, skin texture, broken capillaries
and rosacea. This exciting treatment involves little or no down-time.
Without damaging the skin, pulsed light penetrates the skin and is absorbed
by blood vessels and pigment. The heat impairs the vessel and pigmented
lesion (age spot or freckle). The treated lesion will darken before it
flakes off or is absorbed by the body, over a 3 week period.
